Certificate of Analysis: Signed CoA for Raw Materials & Finished Goods
Every test includes a signed Certificate of Analysis accepted by retailers, distributors, and regulatory agencies. Fast turnaround. Full documentation.
Ayah Labs generates signed Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for all testing services. Each CoA documents test methods, specifications, results, and pass/fail determinations. Our CoAs are formatted to meet FDA, retailer, and distributor requirements.
A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is the primary quality documentation for any raw material or finished product. It records the test methods used, the specifications the product was tested against, the actual test results, and a pass/fail determination signed by a qualified laboratory professional. For supplement and cosmetic manufacturers, a valid CoA is required for FDA compliance, retailer onboarding, Amazon FBA listings, and customer due diligence. Ayah Labs generates professional, compliant CoAs for every testing engagement.
What a Valid CoA Must Include
A compliant Certificate of Analysis must include the product name and lot number, the test methods used (with references to USP, AOAC, or other validated methods), the specifications or acceptance criteria for each test, the actual test results, the date of analysis, and the signature of a qualified laboratory professional. CoAs that lack method references, acceptance criteria, or proper signatures are not accepted by most retailers and may not satisfy FDA requirements.
CoA for Raw Materials vs. Finished Goods
Raw material CoAs document identity, purity, and potency of incoming ingredients and are required under FDA 21 CFR Part 111 for every lot of raw material used in supplement manufacturing. Finished goods CoAs document that the final product meets all label claims and specifications before release. Both types of CoAs are generated by Ayah Labs as part of our testing services, with full traceability from sample receipt to result reporting.
Retailer and Amazon Compliance
Major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods require third-party CoAs for supplement and cosmetic products. Amazon FBA supplement listings require CoAs from ISO 17025 accredited or GMP-compliant laboratories. Ayah Labs CoAs are formatted to meet these requirements and include all information needed for retailer compliance submissions. We can also provide supporting documentation such as method summaries and laboratory qualification letters.

Is a CoA from Ayah Labs accepted by Amazon?
Yes. Amazon requires CoAs from qualified third-party laboratories for supplement listings. Our CoAs include all required information: product name, lot number, test methods with references, specifications, results, and a qualified laboratory signature. We recommend confirming specific Amazon requirements for your product category as they can change.
How quickly can I receive a CoA?
CoA turnaround depends on the tests required. For chemistry tests (identity, potency, heavy metals), CoAs are typically available within 48–72 hours of sample receipt. Microbiology CoAs require 5–7 business days due to incubation requirements. Rush turnaround is available for select tests.
Can you reformat an existing CoA to meet retailer requirements?
We can only issue CoAs for testing performed by Ayah Labs. We cannot reformat or re-sign CoAs from other laboratories. If you need a CoA in a specific format for a retailer, we can perform the required testing and generate a CoA that meets their specifications.
